New York State Bar Association Moves to Disbar Rudy Giuliani

The New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) said that they are considering removing Donald Trump’s Personal Attorney , Rudy Giuliani, from their ranks for his alleged role in the Capitol riots.

The NYSBA said that they condemned the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol which led to the deaths of several people and the disruption of the electoral vote counting.

NYSBA President Scott M. Karson said that they are already considering whether Guiliani should be permanently removed from the membership.

“If we’re wrong, we will be made fools of, but if we’re right a lot of them will go to jail. Let’s have trial by combat,” said Guiliani just before the insurrection happened.

NYSBA said it has a responsibility to defend and protect the rule of law and cannot tolerate Guiliani’s actions and would be given due process.

According to NYSBA’s bylaws, “no person who advocates the overthrow of the government of the United States, or of any state, territory or possession thereof, or of any political subdivision therein, by force or other illegal means, shall be a member of the Association.”
