President Donald Trump’s deputy national security adviser Matt Pottinger has resigned Wednesday evening following the violent insurrection at the Capitol.
According to Bloomberg’s report, several of President Donald Trump’s staffers considered leaving their post after what happened at the Capitol.
Pottinger, reportedly disapproved of the attack on the Capitol and Trumpâs incitement of protesters.
National Security Advisor Robert OâBrien also allegedly mulled resigning but was convinced not to.
Deputy chief of staff Chris Liddell was also mentioned as one of those who considered resigning.
Aside from Trump’s staff, first lady Melania Trumpâs chief of staff, Stephanie Grisham, resigned along with White House social secretary, Anna Cristina âRickieâ Niceta Lloyd.
