Ringway, England, United Kingdom (4E) – Passengers at Manchester Airport faced three hour delays when attempting to check in Sunday.
All three of the airport’s terminals were at a standstill with growing lines over a reported IT failure.
“We apologize to our passengers for the inconvenience,” an airport spokesman said after the problem was resolved hours later.
There was still a passenger backlog to deal with, however, which left passengers upset. Many people took to twitter to express their feelings.
“It’s utter carnage… All the IT systems were down at check in. No-one could help us,” one person tweeted.
